He is slightly dirty, but to knock his technical skill is absurd. His foot work, timing, punch slecttion, variety and co-ordination is second to noe. Mayweather also throws one shot at a time, elbows, and pushes down on his opponents neck, what about the other stuff he does.

The only reason Hopkins is at a top level at this age without 1 punch power like Foreman or astonishing speed is because of his techniccal skill that is through the roof no one can deny that. If throwing a shot at a time, heatbutting, and clinching would win you fights at this advanced age Holyfield would be a top heavyweight.
    Did I mention mayweather?

    No.

Hopkins leads with his head, and headbutts the **** out of people, he excessively clinches, EXCESSIVELY, he rabbit punches, but when it's done back to him he needs a 5 minute timeout, he fakes being injured to get timeouts as well.

None of anything that I just said can be in any way shape or form be denied... it's ugly.

You knocked his technical skill, which is sad considering you couldn't name a fighter more technically skilled other than one fighter who is more or less prime. Sure he fights dirty to make up for having less stamina now, but headbuting a few times and clinching has nothing to do with technical skill, now that can not be denied unless you want to argue for the sake of it.

What can't be denied is that he headbutts, clinches, and rabbit punches more than he actually throws technical punches.

It's technical to throw a straight right hand and then lead with your head and hold on for dear life?

That is ugly and dirty as hell.

I don't give a **** about naming more technicially skilled fighters... If he's technically skilled it's the ugliest, dirtiest, foulest technical skill I've ever seen.

Why would I make a thread about it?

Posting once on it is enough... you had to pull me in to posting several times about it.

                More than I wanted to.

I wanted him to fight dawson, but he is fighting the guy who beat dawson so I am cool with it.

why? because its a lower risk with a higher reward...typical hopkins...

do secondzout and nasa000 have their front row seats already paid in advance?

trust me if gets by pascal, he ducks dawson and will use the excuse that he beat the man who beat dawson...and tie up 175 by not fighting for another two years...

To figure out what you consider technical skill. having the fundementals mastered to a T, with the best or second best defence in the game, and having some of the best footwork and balance in the game, or being an athletic freak who can get away with stuff most can not.

At 45 with less athleticism and stamina a fighter without the best technical skills would be KOed numerous times.
