Haye interview - probably already been on but Ive just come across it

DAVID HAYE will bust a gut to get his world heavyweight title battle with Wladimir Klitschko staged in England.

The super bout moved a step closer after Klitschko had to cancel tomorrow's defence against Dereck Chisora claiming stomach muscle problems.

The Ukrainian has now told his team to start negotiating with Haye's camp.

And Haye declared: "I will move heaven and earth trying to get the bout with Klitschko staged in England.

"Wembley would be the ideal place for such a big fight but, of course, there is the weather to contend with.

"It's looking likely for next in Las Vegas March, though maybe we could push it back six weeks because of the weather. It is so unpredictable.

"When Lennox Lewis and Frank Bruno fought in Cardiff, it was pouring with rain. But that went ahead under a canopy.

"Everyone seems to remember that fight for the rain. I want my fight with Klitschko to be remembered for me knocking him out."

A clash between WBA king Haye and Klitschko, at 34 the younger of the two brothers, almost came off in June 2009.

That time Haye had to pull out with a back injury.

He added: "How ironic Wlad has called off his fight with Chisora. But I accept the injury as genuine, even though, at first, we were told he had a back problem. He has never withdrawn from a fight through injury.

"Once that fight was cancelled, he sent out word for me and I'm happy to step up to the plate.

"Wladimir knows he will earn more money by fighting me than anyone else. Yet there are a few sticking points.

"One is what station will broadcast the fight in Germany. I'm also told it would be a very big fight here in Las Vegas.

"I want Wlad's brother Vitali before I retire next November as well.

"When I beat Wlad, and take his IBF and WBO titles, it will be a long step down the road to unifying the division.

"I can finish it off by taking Vitali's WBC title."

i cant help think that since Golden boy announced they would start negotiations the day before Wlad cancelled with Chisora that something is definately in the works?
