Roach's shyt talk puts him on the same level as Cus D'Amato, Eddie Futch, Angelo Dundee in terms of public perception.

The public loves to hear shyt talk even if they may not particularly like the shyt talker.

He would be a legendary trainer regardless, but constantly talking to the media makes him transcend boxing and become a household name.

That's why most of the MMA guys know Roach, even the ones who have never watched a second of boxing.

Steward has trained ATG's Hearns and Lewis, but his name recognition is nowhere near Roach's because Steward doesn't talk shyt.

Why should he quit ? he is not the one fighting inside the ring .
He needs the money like everyone else and does a good job.
Did he have thoughts about quitting from his job as a trainer in the past ?

He doesn't want to quit, but his condition is supposed to progressively get worse with age, so I can't see him going up to 15 years like someone said.

Roach should be thinking of getting an understudy trained up as the Parkinsons is going to get worse. That way he could sit outside the ring and give instructions. It is his experience that is not replacable. With an understudy he could continue training fighters for ever.

Although I'm tired of his crap talking and some of his decisions, I have nothing but the utmost respect for this man, this is what he loves to do, and I hope he can keep on doing it for as long as he wants. I hope the doctors handle his condition the right way.

Even though I can disagree with his statements sometimes...Freddie Roach gets MUCH respect! He is definitely a top-world-class-trainer...Keep doing your thing!
