Good win for Adamek. I bet if he wanted to fight with a Klit, they would be able to get the fight going since Wlad got injured and now is looking for other top fighters. Adamek also declared that he wants to fight in Poland next, which I guess wouldn't hurt him too much if he fought in the neighboring country of Germany with Wlad. Many Polish fans, as well as Klit fans would attend, filling the stadium up in no time.Comment

I don't normally do this, since it's old news and irrelevant to the present and future of boxing. But, I feel I need to correct this bit of revisionist history, if only because I'm a fan of U.S.S. Cunningham. That fight was a split decision victory for Adamek, and hardly clear, as Steve won more rounds. Take away the knockdowns, and the fight is a draw in the judges' eyes (a wide decision victory for Steve on one judge's card).Adamek became just the fifth fighter in boxing history to capture the lineal cruiserweight crown, dropping Steve Cunningham three times en route to a close but clear decision win in one of the best fights of 2008.
Anyway, I haven't seen the Maddalone fight and, thus, cannot comment. Good for Tomasz, though.Comment

A joke fight with a bartender from NYC Maddanothing. Clown fights do not prepare a guy for a title shot. Adamek should be embarrassed for fighting this bum and not to be taken seriously as a heavyweight contender. Terrible fight.Comment
