Look at the Super 6, all 3 Americans were Olympians. It still means something no matter how good or bad the U.S. does. It's not a guarantee to being a top Pro by any means, but it still means a lot.

Saying those credentials are weak is crazy. Most of the top U.S. fighters have Golden Gloves on there resume and the top guys almost all have Olympic credentials.
Dirrell and Ward medaled. Ali lost in his opening bout. If winning a state GG is his biggest accomplishment it's great but on the world level it really doesn't mean anything.

I'v always given Estrada props but he'll never be a top 15 guy. and speaking about the adamek fight and amateur credentials

    - he didn't almost beat Adamek, in spite of how dillusional Estrada's post fight talk was.

    - Adamek's best amateur result was a bronze at the Europeans and 2x Polish MW National Champ. Very solid credentials but i wouldn't say he was a world class amateur, on the frindge of that perhaps.

Ma***ski reminds me of a lhw Adamek.

It's hard to be a top level fighter man.

But you'll find few top fighters from any country with out a solid amateur background.

Being a state champ doesn't mean a whole lot, but when your doing in NY or cali it does. And making to to be on the olympic team is even harder. So what if he didn't medal? It's against the top fighters in the world.

It's like finding a NFL player who didn't play D1 college.

Sure, playing D1 doesnt mean youll make it in the NFL, but when your looking to draft your next superstar, that's where you look. The guys who performed at the highest level in the amateurs.

it doesn't mean a guy who didn't play D1 can't make it. But it's rare that they do.

                      Nice little battle here.

No shots blocked, both guys cut.

I think the Machine is winning pretty easy against Eddie.

But Eddie is still there ready to go to war with his loopy shots.
