I understand,cause thats the same way I feel about Donaire.the only reason he's on the p4p list is cause Rafa Marquez and Vasquez had long inactivity so they where removed but he dont belong in the top 25.

I tried getting Mares fights against southpaws, but it seems he's only fought 1 in his pro career (against Diosdado Gabi). He got hit a few times against him, but it was mostly by right hooks and straight lefts to the body (shots Vic doesn't throw often). When Mares landed his straight right, it would hurt or stun Gabi and it put him away early.

Mares hurting and stopping a solid opponent in 2 rounds that was 2 1/2 pounds bigger at the weigh-in and 14 pounds bigger tells me his power and offense against southpaws might be even better than orthodox.

It'll be a good fight while it last because the kid can disregard defense, but Darchinyan will be getting stopped again. Mares is very good talent.
