Comments Thread For: Chemito Moreno Finally Begins Training For Parra Bout

The world bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno, finally returned to the gym to begin his training for a possible fight with Lorenzo Parra on February 18 in Panama. Moreno's trainer, and agent Roberto Grimaldo, were worried after Morena no-showed a few days of camp. They gave him a deadline of January 1 to begin training, or they were going to cancel the fight with Parra. Moreno's team are planning for a big year with unifications involved.

Lorenzo Parra is done IMO, Moreno should win this fight. And, if he wins he could fight the winner of the Kameda-Munoz fight. Which should be Kameda. And, I am pretty sure it would be in Japan and Moreno would have no problem going there.

His best chance to unify would be if Mares wins the bantamweight tournament.

I don't see the winner of Montiel-Donaire fighting Moreno. And, I don't see the winner fighting Mares(due to the whole GBP-TR feud) if he wins the tournament. I can see the winner fighting any of the other 3 fighters if they win. And, the winner of the tournament would jump to fight Montiel or Donaire due to being a more money fight than Moreno.

This is most likely why he wasn't invited to the tournament.

I thought Parra retired 2 1/2 years ago after being KO'd by Caballero. Moreno should win easily
