What the heavyweight division desperately needs is more fights between ranked contenders.

I see both Pulev and Helenius are scheduled to fight again in early 2011. There are plenty of interesting fights that can be made between the following: Boytsov, Pulev, Helenius, Chambers, Arreola, and Adamek.

It would be good to see some of the familiar HW names like Oquendo, Boswell, Thompson, Rahman, Ibragimov, etc should fight the up-and-comers like Boytsov, Helenius and Pulev.

I've read there's a WBA eliminator coming up, but they are slow to get on with it. There was to be a four fighter IBF eliminator, now I'm reading Eddie Chambers will fight Derek Rossy again as an IBF eliminator. Jonathan Banks is now scheduled to fight Luan Krasniqi, so it looks like he won't be participating in a four fighter IBF eliminator.

There hasn't been a WBO HW eliminator since Dimitrenko-Chambers in 2009, hopefully there will be one soon.

I rewatched the Chambers vs Klitschko fight and Chambers is too small for heavyweight, and he can also comfortably make cruiserweight. Chambers doesn't have any heavyweight assets; ie hard chin, huge power, or size.

        from the boxing insider website:

Here is my theory: Haye is using the smokescreen of his supposedly planned retirement in October of 2011 as his safety net. First, of course, Haye will stage the faked negotiations again with K2 – which are going on right now – then Haye will kill the fight once again by claiming the deal is not fair.

Haye then will fight one or two more easy, handpicked opponent before retiring in October next year. But it will be a fraud retirement of course, just like the scams perpetrated by Mayweather. After the phony retirement, Haye, probably by Spring of 2012, will have a couple of British journalists pen articles pleading him to come back, and bring his personality, charisma and excitement back to the boring heavyweight division.

Which, of course, Haye will do, by fighting some more easy, set-up opponents as part of his “comeback.” By this time, Vitali will be well over 40 and likely retired and a frustrated and bored Wladimir, could possibly be retired also.

When a good fighter like Haye is deeply scared and afraid to fight a great fighter like Klitschko, sometimes there’s nothing that can be done. No matter how many millions are used to entice the reluctant fighter. Case in point, Rid**** Bowe who refused to fight Lennox Lewis. And to a degree, Lennox who turned down many millions to face Vitali in the rematch (though Lewis was 37 going on 38 and didn’t really need to prove anything). And for sure, add Mayweather, who can’t seem to find the courage to step up to face Manny Pacquiao.

Haye is beaten. But boxing is business nowadays, more than it is a sport. And there are ways for the businessman to cut his losses before they happen. And for some fighters, who know their limitations, like Haye, they must be very careful and protective by making “smart business decisions” which contradict what the fans, media and powers that be of the sport want.
No matter how close or how far apart the current negotiations go, don’t be surprised if the “Hayefaker” continues to play his game of fakery with the Klitschko. Some things never change.
And sometimes, the biggest and best fights never do happen.

“It’s the worst feeling in the world when you’re in a fight you know you can’t win.” –Archie Moore on boxing Muhammad Ali

I think I'm the only Klitschko fan on Boxingscene that wants to see this fight. Oh well!

Haye will probably claim another "slave contract" was offered by K2, then turn around and offer a similiar contract to hopefully, Adamek. it probably wont turn out the way Haye wants it to the first time Adamek hits him in his cumcatcher.

Maybe Povetkin and Adamek can fight in Germany, Russia or Poland.

i doubt either K brother will get the fight he wants. Vitali will probably fight Solis, and maybe Valuev later in the year after he recovers from all his damn operations.
