got nothing against marquez, i actually like him more then pacquiao. not that he is better but i as a fan like him more. he is fronting though talking bout how he beat manny twice. i had him losing both fights. both great, closes fights.

Marquez doesn't want to fight Pacquiao because if he really wants it he shouldn't price himself out of the deal. If he really wants the fight because he really believes he can beat Pac, money matters should come in secondary. As it is, money is his priority as if he needs it as insurance after he loses the fight. He can't have it his way. Beggars can't be choosers.

why after he fought Floyd, Marquez went back immediately at 135....Why not make a statement again by staying at 147 or even at 140 and fight some good fighters out there and prove that you can competer at higher weight....why did you go back at 135 and still fought a bum fighter.....Marquez once said he wants to fight at 140 but when Khan made himself available he suddenly decided to go back at 135 to fight a bum in katsidis(not even the top dog at 135)....its obvious he only wants to fight Pacman for big retirement payday and not for his legacy.....

He would have been stripped of his title if he didn't fight Katsidis, who IMO is a solid Pro, a hard puncher, but nothing special, but not what I'd call a bum...

what reasonable offer did gp turn down on behalf of marquez? arum has had mosley in mind all along and never showed any serious interest in negotiating with gb over marquez. this talk of him pricing himself out is bs spin by team pac as they attempt to cover their asses and sell the public on yet another meaningless matchup no one asked to see. ariza needs to stick to mixing pac's magic shakes and advising him to avoid drug tests.

Nobody is questioning Marquez' skills or resume, so enough with the retorics.
People can say what they want about Ariza and make jokes but the guy makes a valid point....same point i've been making for awhile... Bitter Marquez goes around wearing T shirts bout supposedly beating pacquiao, telling the press he'll do anything to fight Pacquiao BUT outprices himself.

Don't get me wrong, Marquez deserves the trilogy with Pacquiao because both of their fights were exiting but very close matches. If anybody DESERVES a match with Pacquiao..is Marquez. But 50/50...really??
And he's hurting his chances of fighting pacquiao by outpricing himself and giving more ammunition to Arum so he can decline the fight. Only opponent who can come close to 50/50 is Mayweather jr but not Marquez... and its a shame because he's a great fighter but he just doesn't have a huge fanbase.
