Marquez got 1 million dollars fighting Katsidis and about 750,000 against Casamayor.

His PPV with Diaz and Katsidis were poorly 100k + PPV buys.

Asking for 5 million is the way of showing he is ducking Pacquiao.. If you fight Pacquiao and have a chance to be the king of the world you have to grab the oppurtunity whatever they offer you.

Just because Arum, a promoter that does not want to make the fight, claims Marquez is pricing himself out means it is true. When promoters don't want to make a fight they claim that like with Caballero not being able to fight Juan Ma or Gamboa.

Arum probably made Mosley accept not what he deserve, but made him undervalue his worth and since he does not want Marquez anything reasonable will be claim as overpricing himself. Arum must be loving this, made Mosley want to leave Golden Boy and basically sabotage any fair negotiation with Marquez by trying to make them offer less than what is fair.
