it's not about ortiz fighting smart, it's about maidana forcing ortiz into a fight. ortiz had no ****in clue what he was getting himself into and he thought it was gonna be another walk in the park.

bradley is a soldier and would've found a way to win. he came up hard and wasn't handed a silverspoon like ortiz. that's why bradley would've came out on top.

as for maidana/kotelnik... styles make fights. that just a bad style match up for maidana.

khan definitely should be the favorite to beat maidana, but his chin is garbage and anything can happen.

"Ortiz came up with a silver spoon" Stop it man... The kid grew up with no parents and damn near raised himself...

He didn't really get treated good until he got with Garcia and moved to Oxnard...

Well GBP made the most of the opportunity they had...........Peterson wasn't with TR anymore and he was perhaps desperate, so he agreed to whatever options.

I got Peterson in this fight. **** if he don't ko Ortiz I could see him getting robbed.

Side note, WTF is up with the top Rank d1ck riding? I get manny is your fav fighter but you don't have to d1ck ride his promotional team.

Exactly my point. Peterson may never say the words "I quit" in his whole career. But I bet he'll be stopped more than once before he's through. And Ortiz could easily be the first one to do it.

The big thing there is if he agreed or was coerced in order to get an HBO fight.

If it is the latter then that is a violation of the Muhammad Ali Act once again by GBP.

Thomas Hausser should really investigate this and expose these crooked mofo's for what they're.

Ortiz got pitted against a puncher in Maidana, Jacobs went against a crafty EE fighter, Khan was pressured and ultimately took the fight with the Maidana, Ortiz is fighting a guy whose only loss is to arguably the best 140 lber out there. And had Peterson chose to outbox Bradley, the fight couldve been won or alot closer.
blah...I don't care how it makes me come off. I do prefer TR>GBP. **** GBP...

You talking about Top Ranks prospect feeds against tomato cans until a veteran sacrifises his belt which is not really true...What Top Rank does is take stages. They know what they have and if they don't have the goods they take it slow as a good promoter should.

****ing GBP skip stages all the time...They get fad tomato cans and then boom fight a b level fighter without ever fighting a c even a d level. That is not how you bring up a fighter.

Look at Ortiz before he fought Maidana was he not protected against those fighters that he fought? They protected him against Randall Bailey and for good reason. Now you want to act like they threw him to the wolves like Top Rank did with Oscar, Floyd, and to a lesser extent Cotto. But, no they didn't they thought it was a safe plan that backfired. Maidana record showed he was a puncher but nobody really knew if that was the case cuz who the hell had he knocked out? He could of been another Walter Matthysee who was looked as a puncher but really he really wasn't. They saw Maidana fighting Kotelnik who is not greatly skilled no matter how the overrated Alexander made him look. And, they very well likely thought that Maidana was another Matthysse it just back fired on their ass. And, then Ortiz went on the senior citizen tour protected again. And, before Maidana protected, hell they try to put Ortiz against a light puncher in Kotelnik but since Kotelnik chose to fight Khan they went against the loser who they thought his power was overrated. Bunch of idiots in that company.

                  GBP>Top Rank

Peterson has been in soft, but I don't think he'll get embarrassed. This is his chance, so he better bring it.
