I know this is Bs and if what Arum said is true then Gamboa's warm up fight would be Juanma Lopez in June before John ? WTF This is complete horse shiet. I want to see both fights but John has to go down first to make the other one a mega match not the other way around.

Its already been reported that Gamboa v. Juanma won't happen in June. I suppose the new (riskier) strategy is to clean out the whole division before they actually meet. Hope Juanma takes Elio next...

I don't like this. The WBA mandated this to be their next fight. How many tune ups does John need? He's already had 46 of them.

How can you not despise Bob Arum if you're a boxing fan? This man is absolutely terrible for the sport.

There will be no tuneup for John or Gamboa. This is a strategic move.

Chris John will be fighting Juanma Lopez next because Arum feels he's the safest top opponent for Lopez (he is, because of his lack of power), it'll be a solid fight though. I didn't think John would beat Gamboa, but stylistically, John had a better chance at a win. Lopez won't respect his power at all after a certain point and will just walk and wear him down.

I can see Gamboa getting Litzau or someone else he'll destroy.

Is Elio Rojas a champion in recess due to injury or did the WBC just straight up strip him of the title and if Rojas is still WBC champion if he fights juanma or gamboa next would it be considered a unification if he fights gamboa or juanma next
