it was actually 1 in 200 men. but amir's culture use the surname khan a lot, just like mose ******s use the surname muhammad. doesnt mean they are descended from them. so thats why its highly unlikely. the only way to ever tell tho is dna tests.Comment

Wasn't sure on the actual number though, knew 1:3 was a bit too much.

lol @ people saying Ghengis Khan is mongolian
no **** sherlock. do you know what the Mongol hordes did? There are lots of Russians with Mongol ancestry. Turkey is an entire country bred from eastern euro and mongol stock.
Same goes for the middle-east.Comment

I'm from Mongolia, Khan means king in Mongolian.Chingis Khan invaded Afghanistan and some parts of Middle East so their ancestry come from there.Comment

ur wrong, the turkic ppl are very distinct from the chingis mongols. they share common ancestry but those turks left the steppes centuries before chingis decided to build an empire. the modern day turks are more closely related to groups like the huns, etc. so although they came from the same area mongolic peoples =/= turkic peoples.Comment

Sure... Just as Sugar Ray Leonard is a descendant of Sugar Ray Robinson, Rocky Balboa is a descendant of Rocky Marciano, and Tyson Fury is Mike Tyson's cousin.
Sorry about that... But Genghis Khan's real name was Temujin... The word "Khan" is just a Mongolian aristocratic title which stands for "sovereign" or "emperor", just what "Caesar" meant to the ancient Romans.
