uhhhh no...chingis khan was mongolian...amir is pakistani. i kno there were many in the hindu kush region that claimed ancestry from chingis khan like the mugals etc. but the likelyhood of it being true is probably slim to none.

All Khans in south asia speak Pashto or Persian and mostly belong to Afghan background.

Imran Khan (cricketer) was from a real Khan background.
Sharukh Khan(bollywood Top actor) also from same background, for being real Khan you should be Pashtoon or pakhtoon which Amir Khan is not.

the surname khan is one of the most common in the world and kind of a generic bastard name adopted where western style surnames didnt/dont exist, it doesnt have much to do with descent
