  • Comments Thread For: Klitschko vs Haye in Play, Chisora Fight is Secondary

As previously reported, WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko suffered an injury that forced his withdrawal from Saturday's fight with unbeaten British champion Dereck Chisora. There is some confusion over the actual injury. Promoter Frank Warren was informed that Klitschko had injured his back, but K2 Promotions issued a press release which described the injury to be a "torn abdominal muscle." Klitschko will require at least 4-6 weeks of recovery time.

he's not hurt....he's pulling a haye move.faking injury to get out of fight with delboy because a haye fight is on the horizon...I'm sure all wlads fans will claim he's hurt & back him but he's doing the same thing haye did.he's just *****ing out of a fight with chisora to avoid a possible injury or cut that would prevent a haye fight from happening.this happens all the time but it's ok for a klirschko to do it but not haye...LOL! He is not hurt & I'm sure the klit fans will start the usual insults...too bad you all haven't been watching boxing as long as I have because then you would not be surprised by this.Tyson did this several times throughout his career & Never rescheduled & neither will wlad...the chisora joke fight is over...thank god!

i dont think its a ruse, theyre basically doing the thing that makes sense and saying if wlad is injured anyway maybe something good can come out of it and they can put haye back on the top of the priority list

realistically, british champion or whatever, chisora was a "stay active" fight, i seriously doubt wlad would pull out on this short of a notice if it was political, not like the haye fight would happen next week

there is a chance its fake but the timing just seems weird

UNLESS haye and his people were trying to have more empty/greedy "talks" knowing wlad wouldnt be free for a couple months after fighting chisora (which theyve done for ages now)

and to out-trick the trickster wlads people pulled out and said "well be ready in a month!"

Haye faked an injury to duck Wlad then Wlad fakes an injury to fight Haye.

This is good for both sides. Chisora got all that press coverage without taking a loss and Wlad doesn't have a BS defence on his resume.
