i think pacquiao won both fights 2 but if anything, he settled the debate by winning the rematch.

Not really IMO. I watched the rematch like 5 times and scored it for Pac and for Marquez. It was a very close fight and a rematch is a good idea. If it's such an easy fight for Pac, why not take a tune up?
