Canelo did not impress me in his last fight. Plus he was wobbled by Cotto's troubled brother. Both were opponents who fought in lower weights, essentially blown up.

Chávez did show he has improved against Duddy. Is trained by Roach. Spars with Khan and Pac.

But somehow I sense Canelo has more natural ability. He needs to work out to look for more power. And move a little better.

I would go Canelo by SD. But I'm not sure about this fight, yet.

Chavez would lick him. Canelo doesn't have a lot of movement and he does take unnecessary hits. A fattened-up lightweight like Jose Cotto almost ko'ed him in 1 round.

Canelo should stay at welter. He's too small for jr middle or middleweight. In a year's time, Chavez will be a middleweight. Anyways, at this moment, any topnotch welter would beat Canelo.
