I cant talk about other African nations,I can only talk about Zimbabwe because the circumstances are different. You can group Zimbabwe,South Africa,Botswana and Namibia together and you will know there was no regression once whites left.

You talk about white people as if they are gods.In Zimbabwe there were no schools for black people,no roads to black areas,no government hospitals for blacks.Everything that the black people have came from missionaries not white governments.Meanwhile the white governments built first class schools for their own children, hospitals etc and those statistics they had during the colonial era didnt include black people.Blacks were not allowed to practice many professions.

People talk about human rights now, where were you before 1980 when black people could not vote?Where were you when blacks had to carry passes everywhere they went and they were treated like children.Blacks would get killed by white farmers and no one would get tried.

You talk about HIV,that's a huge conspiracy.
Why you talk about the Zimbabwean case is because their registry is quite advanced,no one gets buried in Zimbabwe without a burial order and without a post mortem. They have the most advanced statistics in Africa and that's why you talk so much because it's a transparent society.Every pregnant woman is tested of HIV and for your Info the HIV rate has been falling.

The sad fact of the matter, is that all Africans posting on this forum have left their continent, so my question is, if it was so great, why the hell did you leave? Huh?

That is a question I have for Jukunti, and if Chisora's family is so wealthy as he says, why flee to the slums of London and struggle in poverty of London for years? I guess even the poorest person in London is still better of than the average person in Zimbabwe. I mean who the hell would want to got live in the slums of South Africa? I guess Zimbabweans do.

And even the article you posted, it doesn't say the violent land seizures, or the "land reform" as Mugabe likes to call them, have been a success, it just says that they haven't been as much of a failure as some say, you can take that as victory I guess. But things must really be bad in Zimbabwe if people are fleeing it to go to live in the slums of South Africa:

Zimbabwe exodus to South Africa continues
BBC, News, BBC News, news online, world, uk, international, foreign, british, online, service

More than a year after the signing of a power-sharing deal aimed at rescuing Zimbabwe's shattered economy, young people are still leaving the country in droves, seeking a better life in South Africa.

Not much has changed in Zimbabwe over the past year," says 21-year-old Blessed Rugaru, a day after arriving in South Africa from the eastern Zimbabwean city of Mutare.

She has left behind her parents, who have both lost their jobs.

Zimbabwe's economy has stopped its freefall - mainly because the government has adopted foreign currencies instead of the worthless Zimbabwe dollar.

But this means that those without access to hard currency are in a desperate situation.

The Red Cross has launched an appeal to aid some 220,000 people - mainly in rural areas - it says have no access to money from abroad.

And so those who can send South African rand back to to their families are increasingly valuable.

"There is nowhere to work in Zimbabwe - even if you are educated there are just no jobs," says Brian Ngovu, 17.

They are some of hundreds of Zimbabweans waiting in long queues to be served at a refugee reception centre in Musina in Limpopo Province.

It opened its doors in July 2008 to deal with the thousands of Zimbabwean asylum-seekers then camping out in an open field in the border town.

There are three refugee centres in South Africa and the Limpopo centre, close to the Beit Bridge border post, receives the largest number of people - about 350-400 new asylum applications daily.

"The trends have not changed, we are still seeing the same large groups of people coming here as before the elections last year," says a senior official at the centre.

He refuses to give his name in case he gets "into trouble for speaking to the media".

        Queuing for change

The halls and corridors of the centre are packed; the air is warm and stuffy and there is very little conversation as people wait their turn.

Mr Ngovu is in the queue that snakes outside; beads of sweat have formed on his face.

He has had nothing to eat that day but he says he will not go home without being served - which looks unlikely to happen before the office closes.

He has been in South Africa for a year - trying to get a job but failing as he does not have legal documents.

He is living in Thohoyandou, about 100km (62 miles) from Musina, with friends who sometimes get jobs at gardeners or painters, but they never get anything long-term because they do not have papers.

"I am looking for a job here so I can help my family back home. If I can get papers for asylum I can get a good job," he says.

But unemployment is high in South Africa and he left school a year before graduating. With no official qualification, finding a job - even with legal documentation - will be difficult.

In a country of close to 50 million people, more than 23% of South Africa's citizens are without jobs.

But between three and four million Zimbabweans are believed to have already crossed into South Africa.

        Xenophobic fears

Tension in some townships and informal settlements with a large number of foreigners is on the rise again, following last year's spate of xenophobic attacks.

Some 3,000 foreign nationals, mostly Zimbabweans, were recently driven from their homes in a township outside Cape Town - their shacks were set alight and their belongings destroyed.

Ms Rugaru says fears of more attacks against Zimbabweans are never far from her mind.

"I am worried that the attacks might happen again," she says.

"Things are not good right now in Zimbabwe but I will go back, home is best."

But she is prepared to stay in South Africa as long as it takes to get her refugee papers.

"When I get asylum papers I will use them to apply for study bursaries here," she says.
The people who are fleeing now couldnt flee back then when things were really bad. Finally they have managed to flee because of the money they have recently made as a result of the new developments.

Many people are also going back to Zimbabwe but the media chooses to ignore that. Many professionals have chosen relocate to Zimbabwe than stay in countries like the UK because returns in Zimbabwe are higher than the UK and those who have chosen have generally succeeded in their business and professional endeavors.

In terms of your HIV comment, no wonder the HIV rates are approaching 90% in parts of sub-Saharan Africa, people are ignorant just like you about it and think rubbing pepper on their d*ck or ****ing a ****** will cure them (no bull****). Didn't the South African president **** his femal relative who had HIV and then said that it was no big deal because he took a shower afterwards and saw a witch-doctor? (True story). Many Zimbabweans are generally peace loving. Many fled the violence and yes things were really tough for the past 10yrs.People like Chisora obviously came to spent their money in peace.

Please note I never denied the fact that the past 10yrs were tough. What I however wanted to point out was how things are moving upwards now.How it was necessary to redistribute the land and how the blacks who got the land are successful.Prior to 2000 many Zimbabweans who went overseas did that for education and would go back only after finishing.Things did change because of political problems. There are many who will not go back for fear that things could get bad again.

I also do not agree with Mugabe on many issues like the use of violence.

Even in business you know of the first mover advantage then the me too brands.SOme people are only going to South Africa because many of their relatives went there,South Africa had higher employment rates especially with the world cup.Considering that South Africa was more peaceful it was obvious people would track down south.Mind people go to South Africa from all the world including Ukraine,Russia,UK,Nigeria and of course not in equal numbers.
You also need to factor in time lag effect, even though things are changing in Zim some still think South Africa is better.South Africa is also giving South African citizenship to Zimbabweans and naturally people will excercise their options.

I am trying to figure you out, one the one hand you sound educated but your arguments are so ******, I can't help myself but call you a fool again... you do understand that 20% HIV rate is way past the point of an epidimic, right? You do know that the "acceptable" rate of HIV in the general population is less than 1%, right?

You don't exactly know how to support your arguments very well; first you post an article where it states that the average Zimbabwean govt worker makes less than half of what he needs to feed his family, then you say that things are getting better in Zimbabwe evidenced by the fact that more people are LEAVING it, finally you say that Zimbabwe has excellent HIV education evidenced by the fact that the HIV rate "has never been more than 20%". LOL I can't have a reasoned argument with you my Zimbabwean friend. I am sorry. Now let's get back to talking about how your countrymate will be taught a lesson in humility by my countrymate.
