BoxingScene.com was advised by Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, that a welterweight encounter between Saul Alvarez (35-0, 26KOs) and Matthew Hatton (41-4-2, 16KOs) has very good chance of coming together in early 2011. Matthew Hatton, the younger brother of British superstar Ricky Hatton, is very interested in the fight. Alvarez is looking to return in the month of February. Schaefer will discuss the potential fight with HBO and Golden Boy President Oscar De La Hoya.

I don't know about this don't get me wrong Hatton is no elite fighter but he is experinced and it would be a step up. I would rather see easier guys until december and get a fight with the washed up Miguel Cotto
