It's not hard to imagine how hard he punched. Taking that Antillon has a pretty good chin. There's a video where they are sparring and obviously antillon is wearing a full headgear and both are wearing 12oz gloves. Valero throws a two punch convination that ends with a right hook to Antillon's chin and Antillon looks out of it. They stop the fight and Antillo walks away groggy, I find that to be pretty amazing.Comment

Not really because the argument of "who hits harder" is lost with most fans.
The old saying "the punch that hurts you is the one you don't see" and "Speed is power" are both very true because let's take Manny Pacquaio vs Miguel Cotto for example.
I bet you if you lined both of them up against some test where a machine measured their pure punching power, Miguel Cotto would hit harder. The problem is, when Pac hits you, its from odd angels and shots you don't see coming, that's why he KO's people the way he does.
So the argument of "who hits harder" is sort of skewed because it doesn't account for shots that fighters don't see coming.
Valero was that type of a fighter, he hit people so fast and when they weren't expecting it that it was like getting hit with a sucker punch when you weren't looking.Comment
