Cotto is the WBA's champion at 154-pounds.

Here is the reason why Arum doesn't want Cotto-Martinez (He can hide behind cotto on this but I just don't believe it). This guy want to keep his cashcows inhouse and and milk it for as much as possible. Cotto would get destroyed by Martinez which would ruin a possible match between Cotto-Margarito, and inturn prevent the winner from fighting Pacquiao II. its as simple as that.

what a sc****g, someone should retire this jack***, you'll do the boxing world a big favour

This is why Martinez is hard to promote, here in the states and in the UK you need to be a complete jacass to get a fan base.Martinez needs to have a body shoot at someone at a night club, run someoff the road with his car.start a fight at the press confrences, curse and talk lots of garbage about his opponents and smack a few women around and then he will be a promoters dream come true!~

        • I don't mind Cotto vs Margarito II because I think Cotto (for his sake) needs that fight.

But truthfully, a lot of you gotta take what Bob says with a grain of salt. We're not even in January and he's talking about fights in the Fall. I don't believe Cotto or Margarito will get a 2nd shot at Pacquiao.

            • DiBella is SO RIGHT!!! I agree with EVERYTHING DiBella said in this article...Greedy ass Senile Parasite Arum just wants everything for himself!!!! Greedy Senile Arums "IN HOUSE" fights are preventing great matches from being done & killing the sport of boxing!!!

              • **** Bob Arum. He is ruining the sport not to mention that he is pissing away Pacquiao's last good years on bull**** fights.

                  • Martinez-Cotto is a ****** fight.

                    I'd much rather see a Margarito-Cotto sequel.

                    • I rather watch margarito vs cotto over matinez vs cotto.

There is bad blood between the two and needs to settle it in the ring.
