Pac's Next Fights.........In Case Of A Mayweather Fight

First, i want to say that as a Pac fan, i am disapponted that Pac will most likely face Mosley and i already stated this in other threads. I'd rather Pac fight someone like a young but undeafeated Berto or somebody like Cintron(if he still can make 147).

Pacquiao as we know during training camps always have distractions. Even with that, the reports of him has always been positive. But since becoming a congressman, Pacquiao's last training camp against Margarito was considered to be the worst training camp. The speed wasn't there in the begginning and he looks sluggish. Pac has to take phone calls related to his job as a congressman during training. Maybe because Pac was trying to reach 148-150 that he looks sluggish. At the end though, Pac still showed great performance and dominated Margarito.

Pac's promoter Bob Arum aleady set the plan for Pac to face Mosley and the winner of Cotto-Margarito fight. And Pac usally leave it up to Arum to plan his next fight, which always state during the post interview by HBO's Larry Merchant. Most of us members here do not want to see a Pac-Mosley fight. With that, i believed Arum is concerned that Pacquiao's focus on fighting is not the same anymore since becoming a congressman.

With that, i believed that Arum as a promoter still wants to make Pacquiao-Mayweather fight. When first reports of the Pac-Floyd fight, talks of surpassing the Mayweather-Dela Hoya ppv sell and each fighting earning $40 million or more in purse.

Mayweather is inactive right and no report of future fights while Pacquiao is still fighting at least twice a year. As a promoter, Arum doesn't want his biggest cash cow to lose. If Pac losses his next fight, maybe a decrease in revenue on Pac's future fights. And a Pac defeat can also means a leverage for Floyd Mayweather/Golden Boy(or whichever copromotes Floyd in the future). Mayweather can argue that he deserve a 60-40 cut because Pac lost his last fight. Golden Boy can argue the same thing in terms of splitting revenue with Top Rank.

Mosley showed his age against Mora in his last fight, no speed, no good body movement is slower, and performance wasn't good in terms of skills. Pac already beat both Marg and Cotto and will mostly likely beat them again, even in jr. middleweight.

So, is it reasonable for Arum for Pac to have easy fights against Mosley and Marg/Cotto winner in the case of a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight happens?

Please, if you can, no hating or bashing, just want a good discussion/debate here. THank You.

i hate the fact that this fight is happening as well. but i agree 100 % arum wants to continue to make pacquiao look unbeatable in all his fights.. but at the sametime they should fight marquez because marquez looked exciting in his last fight.. even if the casual fan knows mosley they know damn right that mosley is old and got washed by mayweather..soo all in all bad decision making for Bob Arum
