140 to 147 WW... 140 being the min, 147 being max... and so on.
So Manny never made the 148 min for that class..

Why not they've been fooling enough people already, what's another crappy over hyped PPV.

But PPV's like last weekends PPV, get no love and that was about 10x more exciting than PAC's last 2 fights.

At 147, Floyd fought Zab who was at his best at 140lb (lost 5 times at 147 including to Baldomir, Clottey, Spinks and Cotto)
At 147, Floyd fought Hatton who was a career 140lb
At 147, Floyd fought Mitchel who was a career 140lb and lower
At 147, Floyd fought J.Marquez who was a career 135lb and lower


I say that to say this........


Maybe Floyd should continue the trend and fight someone who is very good at 126lb such as Juan Manuel Lopez or Gamboa BUT AT 147?

So your saying you can't weigh under 200 for a HW fight?

Margarito has fought at JR. MW before and was beating Santos (most people had him winning) neither Mosley nor Pacquiao have fought at 160.

If your arguing that Margarito and Pacquiao doesn't DESERVE to be for the 154 title then I agree and you'd be right. If your arguing that you need to weight above the previous weight class then you'd be wrong.

When Henry Armstrong fought Barney Ross for the Welterweight title he came in at 133 pounds Ross came in at 142 Ross was the legitimate and ONLY world title holder at Welterweight but it shouldn't have been for the belt because Armstrong was light? In fact Armstrong weighed under the Lightweight limit for his next 8 defenses of the Welterweight belt while all but two of those came in over the limit up to the WW limit of 147. Against Lou Ambers both Armstrong and Ambers were under the WW limit, if Ambers had won should he not have got the belt?
