To be fair, Berto enjoyed a good run of minimal opposition. Canelo is only 20 years old? He deserves to beat up some bums and waste HBO capital.

Most boxing fans don't appreciate a true warrior that fights all comers (unless of course that warrior happens to be non-african american).

I hope Andre Berto CHERRY PICKS his way to a 55-0 record before he fights a true challenge.
      LMAO. True dat my dude!

        Why should he?

        Who will respect him?

Most boxing fans will laugh the minute he loses.

There is no purpose in this era of boxing to be a warrior and fight all challenges. For what????

        Look at Paul Williams.

Funny, I thought PW kept avoiding that fight and then asked for a catchweight for the lineal belt to make it happen. My bad. I must be wrong, otherwise people would be calling him the catchweight king.

                Your absolutely right!

The warriors in boxing get crapped on by these so called fans. When the fighter takes on all comers they eventually lose and get no respect, then you have these "best in the world" boxers who most of the casual fans respect and love. What these fans dont see is all the catchweight crap demands, the weakening of good to great fighters and the cherry picking, while they avoid the real challenges.

The obsessed fans then give money, size, etc.,and all types of excuses to not fight the real threats. Much respect to Martinez, Cotto, Williams, Katz. JMM and a few more.

You're right. He should fight Arthur Abraham next at 151.
