Some people said he sparred with Martinez but I don't see how thats possible since there's a 20 pound weight difference and Martinez could accidentally injure Maidana in sparring since 20 pounds in boxing is a pretty significant thing especially in the lower weight classes. If it were two heavyweights sparring then it'd be a bit different.

It would be like Martinez would purposely hold back too much that Maidana wouldn't get the proper training. The thing is, thats who I'm wondering who he's been sparring with to get ready for Khan's speed and boxing ability.

Sergio had his own training camp and he wasnt sparring Maidana to prepare for Williams and im sure he hasnt been sparring with Maidana for the last 3 weeks since his fight

why do u post opinions when you've never boxed a day in ur life?

just LMAO @ that ridiculous post.

yeah people don't spar with someone in different weightclasses. Amir better watch out. Pac might injure him in sparring.

Didn't make it up, PRBOXING thinks he has been sparring with Martinez. And other posters I've seen here think the same thing, but I don't think so.

Beside sergio being completely busy for his fight and resting after the fight, Khan is an orthodox fighter whereas Sergio is a southpaw. Plus they have 2 completely different styles

Maidana sparring with Sergio makes NO sense whatsoever

Maidana himself said he sparred with younger, faster fighters.

I've said this for about 12 weeks now. Maidana will work the body and try to play for a long ball game from distance, hoping for a late round KO.

Khan is gonna try to get at him faster from the get go to score points and box with speed in the pocket. Thats how he wins the game with that second guess, which becomes obvious here, and he may even take down Maidana.

Khan is the highest skilled fighter Maidana has faced. He has a LOT more discipline than Victor Ortiz had that night in the Staples Centre with all the Michael Jackson funeral hype going on.

Maidana is the most poweful hitter Khan has faced. He has a lot more power than Breidis Prescott. Guaranteed, but Khan has faced higher skilled fighters before but only an over the hill Barrera and a soft-punching Kotelnik.

Its gonna be a great fight but its slightly in Khan's favour looking at this article.
