Amir was a very good amateur boxer, captured an Olympic medal in his teenage years and is a more proven professional boxer. He is also the more naturally gifted athlete.

    So why?
First answer this...did you buy enough Jergens for Saturday??

Wazaa being hated on is a good sign. Aslong as Khan can take these haters by the chin (no pun intended) its all good. When you have a hate club at this level you know he's doing something right

If you're talking about the talent for boxing you've got to consider amir's chin
he's supremely talented in all areas save the beard

he was stopped by a nobody. that's gotta set you back.

canelo might not be as fast or big as amir (in terms of size in the weight class)

but he's got incredible power for a friggin 19 year old
he doesnt even know how to set up his power shots yet (unless his opponents open up) and he's still freakishly strong

dont sell his athleticism short just yet.
being durable and strong is at least as valuable as being fast once you're at the top and your opponents can punch hard

canelo's reaching with a shot at mayweather or pacquiao simply because of his age and level of experience

lets not also forget that canelo's a much bigger man than manny or floyd, or amir (who would give up natural size against floyd and be on a simmilar keel w/ pacquiao in terms of natural strength)

additionally, canelo is a legit STAR in mexico. he's gone way beyond boxing and he's only 19. ****, the dudes got teenage girls in heat like de la hoya

he could sell out a bull ring with the right opponent

amir is big, but he's nowhere near Canelo in terms of the butts he can put in the seats

that coupled w/ his natural size advantages over may and pac, and the fact that amir was stopped by bradeis prescott
and he's the more reasonable opponent

the only reason i think Khan won't go far in the boxing world is because of his chin, but we'll see in the upcoming fight if his chin is still as breakable ^^

I also think he fights very afraid now. No committment to his punches, hands glued to the side of his head not because he is most comfortable there or that it is the best defense, but because he is so scared of taking a hit. It is so sad to see a professional boxer so scared to get hit. Im not talking scared to take a hit like Mayweather where the fighter likes to frustrate his opponent and engage in a defensive oriented fight. Im talking the deer in headlights type fear exhibited by Amir, Wlad K, and others who know they have china chins. He is quick and maybe has a bit of pop but all he does is jump around and throw that quick non committal one-two, which wins rounds but is very amateurish at best and he clamors to fight the elite of the boxing world. Floyd, while not liking to get hit, and having a low punch output, will stand bravely in the pocket and dare you to hit him. Amir runs the entire fight. Canelo on the other hand will bring the fight to you and punish you if given the chance. Additionally, he doesn't say silly things like "I think my chin is good, i spar with Pacquiao after all"
