Foreman was a puncher, Tyson was a swarmer. A great puncher like Foreman would be all kinds of trouble for a prime Tyson. Can you imagine Tyson rushing in like he always did and getting stuck with one of Foremans rights. I can see Tyson winning this fight as well, if Tyson got in there and landed a big left hook it would end quickly.
Prime Tyson vs. Prime foreman

I'm the biggest fan that Tyson ever had, but given the fact that tyson, even in his prime was scared of foreman (understandably, I mean, everyone has to have their own heros and idols), I'd give the fight to prime foreman, not for physical dominance, but intimidation.Comment

Look when tyson was with wayne rooney i dont believe there was a fighter in history who could of beaten him , tyson had problems with boxers even in his prime the pinklon thomas fight for example but once tyson put the pressure on he broke them down and knocked them out . As larry merchant said about tyson during his prime "every fighter that faces tyson comes with a plan but that plan disintegrates like a broken piece of crockery when its faced with that kind of pressure there is just no way to practice against it "Comment

the more foreman hits tyson, the slower tyson gets. tyson will just give up after a while.

Let's put it this way. Tyson had chances to take on a past prime Foreman and it's reported he turned em down flat. No fighter ever beat George trying to slug with him. Tyson was a good boxer in his prime with a good defense, but against that kind of power that defense gets punched through.
At his peak, I'd pick Tyson against every fighter who ever fought but George. Bad style match for Tyson, fatal actually!Comment

foreman is too big and too strong for tyson to handle.
i hate to start this up again, but tyson's resume is not very good. his big wins were agianst a washed up former champ,(holmes) a cruiserweight who came out with kneepads and took a fall, (spinks) and a moderatly above average big guy. (berbick) tyson was all intimadation, but so was foreman. weve seen what happens to tyson when he faces someone whos not scared of him

I don't hate pointing out your dead wrong. Tyson was a record setting heavy with two wins over certified HOFers. Tyson was the only man to KO or beat Spinks, and Tyson was the only man to KO Holmes and he KOed both as easily as the average citizen orders a cheeseburger. Holmes fought and schooled contenders for a decade more, he was not washed up. He was just past his prime, but a very savvy effective fighter.
I already picked Foreman over Tyson, but really, you should study up on histories and styles of the sport.Comment

Sorry for being sarcastic, this one was wide open! It's Kevin Rooney!!!
I happen to agree that Tyson was phenominal in his prime! Looking back on Foreman's fights like Ali, Lyle and Young, I cannot help but invision Tyson nailing Foreman at will. Foreman threw long looping punches (in a lot of cases) and was a big target! Obviously Foreman winning is not out of the question, but his beating Tyson as easily as some feel is rediculous to me. Tyson is the same size as Frazier (approx) but Tyson was much faster overall and more elusive than was Frazier. It would be a war!Comment
