Comments Thread For: Garcia: Donaire Could Rise To 122 in The Near Future

Things are pretty sweet now for Nonito Donaire Jr.

After a few frustrating years of being unable to lure himself a high-profile match inside of a prize ring, the 28-year old seems set for a February 19th bout with WBC and WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. Donaire’s emotions of course are also heightened because of the electric fashion in which he disposed of former champion Wladimir Sidorenko last night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Hope flash/vazquez jr can eventually get made in the future since jr is getting some looks to be co promoted by top rank so it should be easy to make.also flash/rigo is one that would be interesting once rigo gets some more fights under him even though he's already 30.then molitor is with top rank also so Lot
of options for flash since he really needs to step up the comp from this past wlad fight.can't wait for that montiel/flash in feb.

they should hurry up and put him at 126-130 lbs... dudes a friggin giant compared the guys he's been fighting

..heck i even think the Montiel fight is a mismatch as the only thing i see going for Montiel is his HEART (maybe) and EXPERIENCE (not by much)...and for everything else ...he's at a dis-advantage (style, size, speed, height, reach etc etc)

don't get me wrong, Montiel is still a good fighter but......

you ever heard of anselmo moreno, or yhonny perez mother****er?....even ****n cermeno is arguably bigger than doniare based on body frames....nonito, agbeko and mares are similar in size.....montiel , darch and sirodenko are the ones that are kinda small ....

donaire could probably do 130 lbs if he puts on the muscle the right way.
