The head of Arena Box Promotions, Ahmet Oner, discussed last Saturday's collapse of heavyweight Alexander Dimitrenko (30-1, 20 KOs). Moments before his scheduled fight with Albert Sosnowski in Germany, Dimitrenko fainted in his dressing room and was taken to the hospital. Dimitrenko's promoter, Universum, have placed the blame on a possible incident of food poisoning. Oner is under the belief that Dimitrenko is dealing with inner stuggles that are mental in nature.

Sosnowski is a good fighter, I picked him to win this fight. If Dimitrenko is confirmed to be all good then the match-up should still happen and I'll pick Sosnowski to win again.

Oner has a right to his opinion, but he's talking out of his ass, because he doesn't know what happened any more than anyone else. Now Dimitrenko is saying he was weakened by a stomach virus, so we'll have to take his word on it.

I said the same thing when it first came out, he developed post-trauma stress disorder after the beating Chambers gave him and had a panic attack, which led to the fainting.
