Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Khan vs Maidana Will Be a Tremendous War!

In a recent interview prior to Saul ''Canelo'' Alvarez winning a twelve round decision over Lovemore Ndou in Mexico, Golden Boy Promotions President and former ten-time world champion in six different weight divisions, Oscar De La Hoya, said a few words regarding this Saturday's match between WBA super lightweight champion Amir Khan and mandatory challenger/interim-champ Marcos Maidana.

I'm really looking forward to this fight, but it's just hilarious hearing DLH trying to sell this as a great fight when they were trying to get Khan to fight JMM.

If Khan stays in front of Maidana and trade punches he's getting KO plain and simple

I see Saturday as a one sided demolition, where Khan puts in a great performance. If it's the FOTY or even a candidate, then Khan got KTFO.

I think it wont be a war. I see Khan knocking out Maidana in round 2. Maidana is a hard puncher but his trainer is not world class while Khan is trained by an atg trainer Freddy Roach.

I can only see 2 outcomes here, Khan by UD of Maidana by KO. Khan is very slick & can box his way to a wide UD but if Maidana lands Khan is getting knocked out. People say that Maidana has to land to KO him thats true but in the Prescott fight Prescott landed a jab on Khan that buckled his knees so Maidana could punch straight through his guard to KO him. Khan needs to be on the move all night he can't afford to get in trouble once through this fight. Roach says Khan hasn't lost a round since he's been with him but i think if he loses a round in this fight he'll be getting KO'd in that round
