What was the first fight you ever watched live?

I didn't grow up watching boxing, so I'm somewhat of a new fan to the sport.

I had free HBO once in my apartment during my junior year in college, so the first fight I ever watched live on TV was Calzaghe/Kessler (I don't think it was tape-delay).

The first fight I ever saw live in person was Alexander/Kotelnik. The whole event was really cool, it was like being in the Colosseum or something.

First PPV fight I ever bought was Calzaghe/Jones. And I regret doing it, =[.

What was the first fight you ever saw live on TV/in an arena?

First fight I ever went to was Gatti-Leija in Boardwalk Hall. Had incredible seats that night too.

My dad took me to a Danny Romero fight in Albuquerque where we lived when I was about 7 or 8. I can't remember who he was fighting but I'm pretty sure he was the fly or feather weight champ. The only reason I remember this is because romero came to my elementary school and it was a big deal at the time and I knew he was the champ. But I liked boxing back then because my dad followed it. But I didn't really get back into boxing until I graduated high school

Glen John fight at the Hardrock in Ft Laur. Florida, kenny galarza was on the undercard wasnt impressed with Kenny, but as very impressed with Glen Johnson at that time, looked like a true champion in the ring.

Ringside? Or close to ringside? Gatti fights must have been awesome to go to, if only because of the atmosphere.

Cool. what made you decide to become interested in boxing again?

In my opinion, that would seem like a waste. It's like getting hammered in time for a Pacquiao/Mayweather fight, you miss the finer details.

I'm always rooting for Glen Johnson, I was at his fight with Tavoris Cloud.

Ringside. Some scalper sold me a ticket that was a couple rows out...too bad the pole in the corner obscured my vision most of the night lol.

My first memory of actually sitting down to watch a fight (out of interest) was Cotto-Quintana in December 2006.

The first pay-per-view I watched with interest was Cotto-Judah.

The first fight I attended was one with Cesar Seda, Jr. (rising PR prospect). Forgettable night, though. No big names on the undercard. Wasn't really that interesting. I was excited, however (it being my first attendance to a boxing event).

My second attendance to a boxing card was Calderon-Segura. The fights were entertaining and the main event was electric. The crowd was on its feet for the last 2 rounds before it ended. I was like, "Don't tell me Calderon's gonna' lose the first time I watch him fight!" and so he did.

It was an exciting night, though. The fact that alone that my brother (who's normally quiet and very reserved) was screaming: "Eso es, ¡puñeta!" every time Calderón landed a shot was amusing.
