I would only want Conte on my side if I was trying to uncover cheaters (it takes a thief to catch a thief kind of deal).

For actually athletic concerns hell no why even bring that kind of attention to yourself. Although I would say it would be kind of dumb to really try to cheat with him on the staff when you could easily get some unknown guy, so while it looks bad it probably means nothing.

First think I thought when I heard "Conte" was Donaire might be on PEDS.

He looks like more of a beast in there than he used to.

Relax people. Donaire is from San Leandro, Conte is from Burlingame, a mere 15 minutes away. Conte has always been a prominent figure in the local Bay Area sports scene. And although BALCO was involved in the steroids scandal of recent Conte's knowledge of nutrition and the human body blows away 99.99% of people in his field. He paid his dues, the poor guy can't take a piss w/o the Government knowing about it. Let him live. He is doing his best to council local Bay Area athletes in spite of his infamous past. Donaire looked amazing the other night, unlike Pacquiao, Donaire is orthodox and fights a textbook style and looks damn near Perfect doing it. Only PBF shows more technical beauty when boxing. Donaire is following every rule in classic boxing style and putting on a clinic for all of us to see. Manny is a god damn hurricane of weird punches in weird angles. I don't see how you connect the dots to PED use from him thanking Conte post fight. It's simply pure irresponsible speculation.

I think that's a fair assessment. However, until the sport starts issuing some more stringent tests, we'll never know.
