It's a very simple forumla- if Marquez drops Golden Boy today, first thing in the morning we'd get articles with Arum claiming Marquez is the favorite, he's the biggest Mexican star in boxing, the fight with Manny would do huge business (it would), and Pacquiao-Marquez III= Ali-Frazier III.

Arum is a smart enough business man to know that barring Floyd, Marquez is the biggest name out there for Manny that would make the most money... but he's not willing to co-promote, especially not with GBP.

So if Juan Manuel wants Manny, then he knows what he has to do, Shane already made the blueprint:

I agree just cause i woud like to see Cotto vs Martinez because arum keeps everything in house as we all know, also for starters its not a rematch, so we dont know what to really expect cause they havent faught even though the majority including me have cotto losing, but we can only speculate and as we all know upsets can happen, also something in my heart says its not impossible Cotto cant win against sergio which would really put cotto back on the map and solidify his career even more. just my opinion. lwet me explain why.

Marquez at 140 or above doesnt deserve a rematch. marquez doesnt have any wins above 135. Pacquiao has beaten impressively all his opponents above 140.Yet marquez wants wants the ww champ.

So above 140 , he doesnt deserve it.

Now , at 135 , he does deserve a rematch. But guess what , pacquiao is on the drivers seat. And is fighting above 140. And knows he cant lose at that weight against Marquez.

In Pacquiao's new weight , where he has whooped everybody (top fighters). Marquez makes no dent. Therefore. He should just move on , since he has no business , looking for a fight , he cant win. Since it would be above 140.

last time i check jmm lost 1 time by split decision..and got a draw...cotto got tko'd and margo got completly dominated and hopitalized..i say jmm did alot better

JMM lost to Pac 114-113 in the rematch...that pissed me of bad, Marquez deserved that win. But of course Arum and the tards will argue this like their life depended it.
