He's 20 years old, have already had 36 fights. Beaten good names(for a 20 year old) like Baldomir, N'Dou, Tyner, Vasquez, J.Cotto and has looked good doing it and has an exciting style plus good looks.... It's obvious he is the best prospect Mexico have and he has the potential to be a great fighter. I guess that's why he is so popular.

being redhead obviously makes him stand out, but if he completely ****** ballz no one would be talking about him. he's a young prospect who's been fighting in the public eye against full grown men since his mid teens. he's also good looking, well spoken, competing at a higher division than most mexican prospects, has a crowd pleasing style, and is viewed as having lots of potential considering his age. basically, he has that "it" factor.

I was just going to post something like that. I see some Mexicans here and they wish they were white. Maybe Saul represents that desire in them to be white and have a white looking dude represent them rather then the typical Mexican.
