Sorry but that only would be in a perfect world. In the real world, Manny is the superstar no Marquez, so why he need to sacrifice and make favors to Marquez when in fact he make enough by putting Marquez in the spotlight.

Pacman has nothing to prove against Marquez and as good as Marquez is, Pacman is just in another level of his own. Fight only could happen at 145-147lb and every body and their mothers know that Pacman would knock im out cool in a matter of minutes.

To tell the true, a fight with Mosley would bring more intrigue and excitement since would be their first encounter and many People believe that Mosley being bigger and with decent punch, it would be more compelling.

wth is todays manny? manny 6 fights after marquez had nothing to do with manny improving it had all to do with his opponent selection. manny still reacts to punches the same way he still has no defense he still fights the same way. so wtf is todays manny? because he beat up david diaz oscar cotto and margirito? marquez has knockouts as well and only lost to the best in the game floyd mayweather. so his string of fights aint no slouch either. todays manny lmao you guys are blind so blind. the limit would be 147 marquez will come in under 145 and so will manny. marquez is smart and has experience with manny and won mroe rounds vs manny period.

This is what happens when you dominate shiet, people think your unstoppable to the point that everyone thinks its easy to beat everyone and its absolutely worthless to watch it because they already know the outcome.

Pac should just retire to keep this whinny as s haters at bay. Seriously how many boxer will benefit from fighting pac for 3 years onward, atleast he is staying active and helping other boxers a payday- I dont get all this whinny a ss haters. You cant satisfy them all, there always be whinny a ss hater somewhere that has nothing do.

Why does Berto have to prove himself? If he's not ready now, he'll never be ready. He hasn't made that step up in competition yet, but he has been beating everyone else otherwise. What did Clottey do to deserve to be headlining an event in that shiny new stadium? A $60 tuneup fight?

Berto has to be at least worth that.

If he wants to get his ass kicked, let him. He's about as credible opponent out there that he could realistically still fight.

Marquez is small and would be blown away, Mosley would stop Marquez
              Mosley is the same size
Bradley/Alexander tied up in a fight, too young and green.

              That's basically it.

^If you really believe that then I have to question your powers of observation. Manny's overall style and skills have evolved since '08, let alone '04. His ambidexterity, 'slickness' (head movement, slipping, etc), footwork, and counterpunching ability have improved dramatically. This is not even debatable to anyone who has eyes.

Then you add to the fact that Manny destroys guys who are much bigger and stronger than he is at 144-145, how the hell is a fat, bloated, slow Marquez at 140 or 147 going to stand up to him? Any weight Marquez puts on now is water weight, not muscle, and him adding weight before the weigh-in would not be functional muscle either. Meanwhile Pac would be mainly lean muscle and add about only 3-4 lbs in water weight. It would be a Hattonesque massacre.

I say he takes the fight at 147 and murks him once and for all, but then of course all the people saying it would be a battle would say what I'm telling you now- a fat, slow Marquez would be overwhelmed brutally by Pacquiao. It's not a fair fight at all beyond 135 (where Marquez usually doesn't even make the limit). But Marquez being with Oscar/Schaefer=Shane Mosley fight.

Just look at the difference in Marquez's physique:

                  Against Floyd at Welter:

                  Against Katsidis at LW:

                  Against Pac at FW:

But Marquez at WW will have the speed, power, reflexes, chin, etc to stand up to the guy that's been brutalizing the likes of Margarito, Cotto, etc?

                  **** outta here

Its not like that number is non-negotiable.

If more money than he's ever made in his career comes at the expense of taking 40% or maybe even a little less than that, he'd obviously take the most money he's ever made in his career instead of trying to get 50-50 at his age.
