At the Polideportivo Vicente Polimeni, in Las Heras, Argentina, Jonathan Victor Barros (31-1-1, 18 KOs) stopped Irving Berry (18-2-2, 9 KOs) in the seventh round to win the vacant WBA featherweight title. After three rounds of back and forth punching, Barros took over the fight in the fourth and broke Berry down until a combination of hard punches caught him flush and the ref jumped in to stop the contest.
