Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia Knocks Olivier Lontchi Out in Five Rounds

At the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, featherweight prospect Mikey Garcia (24-0, 20KOs) got the most impressive win of his career with a fifth round knockout over once-beaten Olivier Lontchi (18-2, 8KOs). Garcia was in full control of the entire fight. He turned up the heat in the fifth round with a variety of hard punches. A hard straight right hand sent Lontchi down. He made it up but a follow-up barrage of hard punches against the ropes sent Lontchi down for the full count.

Daniel Ponce De Leon would be a good fight for him. But I think promotional problems between the two companies would prevent the fight from taking place. Is Jhonny Gonzalez also promoted by Top Rank?
