no he isn't. He just does things better from a textbook standpoint (only because Manny is so unorthodox) but Manny is more skilled.

Manny has a higher ring IQ, better timing, sets traps better, more punch variety, puts punches together better and I can go on and on.

The only thing Donaire does better is work behind his jab, while using it to set up his punches. Other than that...there is no area in Nonito's game in which he is better than Manny.

Donaire needs to spotlight, and Manny can't give it to him.

one thing donaire has going for him is that he's a slick non african american. those are pretty rare. like a white running back in the nfl.

Nonito is more skilled and is a more well rounded fighter IMO...is he BETTER then Manny??? absolutely not! at least not right now

it could be because he is American, who knows but I like Nonito a lot, him and his wife seems like very cool people so I don't know why they wouldn't get the same support but what ever...Nonito keep winning and the respect and the bigger fights will come but it might be harder to become a bigger star in that division because that division does not get the same attention as the Welterweight division and others

Donaire is rather entertaining but he isn't an all out brawler that made Manny the sucessful and fan-friendly fighter he has become today. How many wars has Donaire been in? With which popular fighters? Who knows who would if they fought at the flyweight versions of themselves. But Bob is just a greedy bloke whose only purpose in life is to squeeze as much nickels and dimes out of everything. Thus, Pacquiao (and his audience) is more geared to Mexicans or those who are aficionados of brawling. Also, Manny vs Mexican fighters has become the norm and usually Mexican fighters will occupy the undercard. Personally, I think it's an insult at Donaire for being reduced to those Pinoy Power cards, because (and I think it was Dougie F. who mentioned it) but promoters are just greedy asz fcks who don't give a **** bout boxing. The stadium that is used for the S.F. Giants would SELL OUT if there was a double header featuring Andre Ward and Donaire (both from the Bay Area) but Arum would rather make less money ON HIS OWN. Donaire is more a technical fighter with great accuracy, thus he makes the KO's count, but I doubt we'll see him on a Manny undercard. You think it would make sense right? I mean it makes "¢ents" sense, but that's where everyone should question Arum's logical way of thinking. Manny isn't jealous and he would never be since he usually doesn't even know what's going on when he's in the conference room.

lolz their is nothing going on between team pac & team donaire .... Pac jealous, you got to be kidding?

Anyway in the future Nonito should be given a shot to fight on one of Pacquiao undercards, a passing of torch kind of thing, best possible pac fight I could think of is PAC-PBF...

You realize that this is written by a very biased writer and a notorious Pac hater right? You should go read his other articles that blatantly bash Pacquiao (amongst other boxers). You can sense in the article that the writer has a lot of animosity towards Pacquiao. Besides Nonito and Manny are friends more than anything.

Nonito talking about him hanging out with Manny “We actually have lunch sometimes but the man is very busy,” Donaire smiles. “He’s a very, very busy guy and when we do hang out we talk about everything. Last time it was about acting because I was playing his cousin in the comedy series he does in the Philippines. But we talk about showbusiness, politics and sometimes boxing. The sport is huge in the Philippines.
