You expect his first defence to be against a world-class opponent or a top contender? After the Martinez fight, Burns deserves an easy payday.

He won the title in September, most fighters wouldn't fight again until January or February, so credit to Burns for taking a fight so soon. It's pretty much a 'keep-busy' fight with a decent pay-day.

The harder fights will come next year.
