    Pacman vs. Berto At 147

Seems to me that most consider this the best option for Manny (besides the ridiculous Martinez contingent) and many even believe Berto will win. What do you think?

What has Berto done to deserve a shot? Got a lucky gift from collazo and beat bums?

    Come on.

Manny Pacquaio is a WW at best and nobody below or in that weight class is beating him. Floyd? Possibly could infact id start him as fravourite but that aint gonna be happening.

Andre Berto would lose but his the best chance of the WW's and fighters like JMM Bradley ect ect

He hasnt done anything to deserve the shot. Still i think he causes problems for Manny, more so than the other fighters in the division anyway

Berto's one-two combinations aren't going to stop Pac. The fight doesn't go 8 rds because Berto would realize that he can't handle the pressure of the offensive attack and he either gets knocked out or quits......he has no idea how to respond and his face gets beaten to a pulp.

Berto getting this sends a wrong message to future fighters.

What this basically says is that you can fight ex-cops/taxi drivers, never take on real challenges, hook up with the right manager (Haymon) and just back door your way to a mega fight.

Nevermind doing it the oldschool way, ala what Mosley did, by challenging yourself and win or lose, knowing you went out and fought the best. People bash Shane for his loss to Floyd but atleast he was willing to go out and face him. Same with Winky and Vernon.

Sorry but I'm not interested in a POS fighter like Berto....especially when I see guys like Bradley, Alexander, Cotto, Margarito, Williams and countless other fighters going out and consistantly challenging themselves.

Berto is one of the better options right now. Berto is undefeated, his confidence isn't shattered and he holds the WBC (Which means nothing). Fact is, he's a much better option than Mosley and Marquez (Even Marquez at 140). I know it sucks because personally, all are shitty options in my opinion, but Berto is the best option out of the three.

Well I do agree with you on all three being ****ty.

Manny shouldn't be fighting any of those guys....at all.

What did David Diaz, Joshua Clottey, and Antonio Margarito do to deserve a shot at Pacquiao? Come on!
