Ishe Smith was offered last night's fight with Lemieux, but he was too cowardly to accept.

But, to be fair Tunney come on in his defense he wanted more than 3 weeks notice...

Lemieux is just a prospect to me right now. I don't think he is a contender right now. He is a prospect and I don't think he is overrated either. I disagree with Ishe on that part.

We will see how he develops, I think along with Golovkin and Korobov. Lemieux would be a player in the division in a couple years. Golovkin is a player in the division right now along with Pirog as far as I am concerned.

But, he was right turning down that fight with just 3 weeks noticed...It was not a cowardly act...

And, for the record I do think Lemieux beats "Shay", I don't think he will KO him though. I think it would go the distance. It would be very impressive if he can KO Smith...

Smith was given 2 weeks notice. You really blame him for declining? He said he'd fight Lemieux if given some time to prepare.

I know you are a big fan of Lemieux, and so am I, but your post smells bad faith.

Did you see today's fight, JRO?

Lemieux looked frustrated as hell with his opponents movement in the first round.

Purnell Gates was a shame for boxing tonight. He literary runned in the first round, and by running, i'm not exaggerating and the he took 2 knees....

                Worst fight I've ever seen.

Can't wait for better competition. It was by far the worst guy he faced in his career, the dude had no balls whatsoever.

I rather getting KTFO on a highlight reel KO then running in the run, and taking 2 knees back to back

I saw it and he did, the dude he fought didn't want to engage at all.

I don't care who you're I think when a fighter gets in the ring with somebody who just wants to run and not engage at all it would frustrate you somewhat.

For example Cotto and Pac to a lesser extent Hopkins-Hakkar. I think Hakkar was kind of frustrated in the ring a little big with Hakkar straight out running...And, I don't call that movement I call that running. To me movement is giving angles, turning your opponent, looking for opportunities, try to counterpunch, and I think every fighter kind of expects this. However, they don't expect somebody just straight out run...And, I think that is what frustrates fighters. Lemieux, Pac, Hopkins. Of course Hopkins is much more skilled than both so he performed better in that situation. But, he was frustrated he even shrugged his shoulders at the end of a round like saying WTF?

I don't hold this fight too much against Lemieux, because a fighter going into run would frustrate him...But, running is different from movement. As I gave you my definition of movement. So I will wonder how Lemieux deals with movement...

Running without even trying to win I think could be frustrating for any fighter.

I don't feel a fighter should get paid for that type of performance...
