And I thought SHO was catching up with HBO...

Two consecutive ****ty PPV in a row!

Last PPV Event: Rahman vs. Barrett + Mayorga

    This coming Friday:

Shannon Briggs vs Ray Mercer (heavyweight)
O'Neil Bell vs Sebastian Rothmann (IBF cruiserweight title)
Jameel McCline vs Steve Pannell (heavyweight)
Juan Urango vs Andre Eason (jr welterweight)
    Lance Whitaker vs TBA (heavyweight)

Even if Tua hadn't pulled out, this would still be ****ty!

And I thought they were catching up with HBO, I was dead wrong.

        More?

Showtime has one card per month (that isn't PPV) while HBO usually has at least two and sometimes three.

Showtime has had more boxing telecasts in the last two years than HBO, if you count ShoBox which sometimes comes on twice per month.

There was a thread last year sometime where we counted all the shows and Showtime had exceeded HBO's total.

The original poster also doesn't seem to understand Showtime distributing a PPV vs. Showtime putting on a PPV...

Sadly, HBO doesn't always have AT LEAST two cards per month on the network (non-PPV). They took the entire month off recently...maybe last August...I can't remember.

I wish they had at least two cards, but they do usually have at least one.

HBO plays about the right number to have effective fights on their station.

Yeah, i bet after SHO saw the numbers for Barrett/Rahman, they wish they could take this off ppv.

If ShoBox counts, then so does HBO Latino Boxeo do Oro.

HBO Latino isn't on many cable/satellite systems; ShoBox shows live on the regular Showtime network...
