How Has The Internet Changed YOU As A Boxing Fan?

I used to go to a college with a really high Asian population, mostly international students. I think those girls were literally afraid of communication. Now I understand that a lot of them didn't speak a lick of English, but they wouldn't even communicate with their Asian boyfriends. Kind of a scary way to live.Comment

Growing up without much money, we never had HBO or none of that ****. I had regular cable though (through an illegal hookup) and I watched all the boxing on free channels and listened to many events on the premium channels and PPV through the scrambles. Other than that, I read boxing magazines whenever I was in a store, read the sports section in the paper, and watched ESPN. Obviously that didn't help me to be the most knowledgable fan ever, but I take issue with anyone questioning my love for the sport just because I missed certain fights or don't know certain details. God bless the internet for changing everything!Comment

On one hand it's made me a bigger fan and helped to educate me.
On the other, sometimes I associate it all with some of the most annoying fans in the world.Comment

This is real talk. You couldn't tell me Tony Marshall wasn't the man back then. After years of not hearing anything about him, I looked him up and it turns out he was a straight up journeyman.Comment
