Khan gained my respect tonight!

This is what boxing's all about! I competitive, dramatic fight where two fighters slug it out and give the fans their money's worth while still showing high-level fighting. What a way to close out HBO's calendar this year!

In the end, there is no loser in this fight! Khan gained people's respect and showed that he can take a punch and has heart! Maidana proved he is one tough SOB and that he is not someone to be taken lightly!

Tremendous performance by both guys!

Maidana is definitely a resilient fighter even if he aint very skilled. Gotta give the guy his props. And he looked a lot like a young Margarito in there tonight.

A young Margarito wouldn't have gassed though. He had Khan for the taking but ran out of gas like a 40 year old Mosley. He seriously needs a real nutritionist/conditioning coach.

When he fought Kotelnik he was able to unleash over 1000 punches and didn't even look that tired. Somewhere along the way his stamina regressed so something is definitely not right in his training camps.
