I honestly believe Cotto can beat Martinez

    Ill tell you why.

    1. Cotto does well as the agressor.
    2. He has a mean/sharp/crisp/well timed jab. That could be "The factor"
    3. If he establishes the jab , whch I think he will. Body work comes in easier.
    4. Martinez will not pressure him. And Cotto is a very patient ,very effective fighter that doesnt waste many punches. Martinez will dictate the pace , But Cotto will dictate the Action. Hope I made my self clear.

Dont let Martinez's recent win over P.Will fool you. P.Will is not a smart fighter. He did not use his reach. He got caught with a over left hand. Which he didnt prepare much for , considering that punch was very effective in their first fight. He was coming in sloppy. With his hands down.

Cotto can change stance as needed. And he can jab with either hand , almost as good.

Did anyonme notice his jab in the foreman fight. And his balance.

I think those are keys for ther fight.

He could but I wouldn't favor him. Martinez is not a pressure fighter so thats a little good on Cotto.

I also feel if Cintron had success, Cotto being a superior fighter with just as much power could do the same.

Martinez is too long for cotto, and too fast. I don't even think it would be close. I'd be happy to place a small wager witcha.

I honestly don't believe Cotto can win a round let alone the fight.

Cotto of old at 147 was fresher and hadn't gotten beaten up yet. Cotto now at 160, eh, I don't have much faith in him anymore.
