Comments Thread For: Berto's Promoter: What Does Pacquiao Gain From Mosley?

New York-based promoter, Lou DiBella, doesn't understand the reasoning for Manny Pacquiao to select Shane Mosley as the opponent for April 16 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. According to DiBella, Pacquiao should forget about Mosley and fight unbeaten WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto.

He beats an AA. But a better question would be why has Berto been paid millions the last several years and done nothing to build his case for a Pacquiao fight? That's his fault. Ridiculous. No matter how many Freddy Hernandez' you knock out, it doesn't equal a legitimate opponent.

i agree mosley hasnt won a fight since margarito in early 09'. Berto is getting wins under his belt and probably would beat mosley. Id rather see Berto-Mosley on HBO and Pacquiao-Mayweather the week after or something.

MONEY with a lot of $$$$$$$$$$......signs!

...what do you think? Pac has 8 championship belts, forget the weight class..Mosley is far more accomplished than Berto. Question is, whats does Berto gain from Pac and vice versa...besides money? Mosley definitely far outweighs Berto.

I'm sure you have noticed that most people including Pac fans are trashing this potential fight. Of course you have the few "*******s" that will defend his any move like *****s do for they fighter but the majority are trashing it. Don't act like you haven't.

Hey Lou , if you don't get it by now you will never get it.
                    1) If Shane loses by KO to the congressman this will prove :

                    a) that the congressman is not afraid to fight African American fighters
                    b) that the congressman is better than FMJ, because Shane went
                    to the distance.
                    c) this will serve as a tune up fight for the congressman
                    d) money wise this will be more attractive than to fight
Demon, Sergio "are you serious ?", Aling Berto and the 21'st
                    Airborne Division ( u LOL)
                    e) it really doesn't matter whom the congressman wants to fight with
as long as he is Afro American.
