So he went from Ricky Hatton to Matthew Hatton.

And still no explanation as to why this guy chose Wild Card? Is he juicing himself up?

I have absolutely no respect for Paulie Malignaggi, but I'm beginning to pity this idiot now.He doesn't seem to realize that he's there to be used as a future stepping stone for one of Golden Boys prospects.Once they're done with him, they'll ship him back to the gay bars in Brooklyn.

He needs to step up and take a rematch with Herman Ngoudjo.

        Can anyone say "cannon fodder"!

Pualie, don't fool yourself... sure, GDP will get you a tittle shot in Europe, but only for you to serve as a sacrificial lamb in the US for one of the main fighters to step up and get the title from you.

I can already see it. a rematch with Khan for the welterweight title... or how about Alvarez!

So please... spare us... with heard it before... how this is the best training camp and the best trainer and how much you've learn. To only see you run around the ring throwing a jab all night with the right hand here and there... with no power behind it.

Neverthless... Pualie is prove that just charisma and personality can take you a long way on this sport.

Paulie will embarrass both. I think Europe will give him the decision vs. Hatton, they'll rob him vs. Zaveck though.

Paulie will be overwelmed by the fury of Hatton's punches.

I like Paulie, he gets too much stick. He's a pure boxer - has speed, skill, a decent jab and good chin. Just a shame he has no power and his hands are fragile.

I hope he does well at Welterweight. I think the state WW is in at the moment is poor, if you take out the superstars (Pac, PBF, SSM) it's awful.

Training at the Wildcard is only going to benefit him. I hope he spars a bit with Khan too, it'll help both of them (Khan because Paulie is quite quick and skillful, and Paulie because Khan is very big, quick and powerful).

Paulie is a former world champ and is experienced and has been in some big fights (Cotto, Hatton, Khan, Diaz x2), so there's definitely a chance he can win a title at WW.

I think people need to give him some credit though - he won a world title in a pretty competitive division with no punching power at all and a small skinny frame, relying solely on his skill as a boxer (and his mouth).

              Good luck Paulie.

Paulie can get Zavecks belt. GBP setting him up with Alvarez would be a huge payday 4 him. im sure he wouldnt mind being "sacrificed". if ur a true champ u take on all comers.

I like Paulie, but both of those fights give me the whole "who the %$(^&@($#$# cares" kind of feeling. kind of like threads about people's PPV numbers by guys who have no financial interest in said PPV numbers.
