WBO/WBA lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez has taken Manny Pacquiao to task over published reports that a deal to fight "Sugar" Shane Mosley is close to being finalized for April 16 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Personally, i would very much prefer Pac/Marq over Pac/Mosley.

But i can't understand what the heck Marquez is thinking! I'm not sure how true the reports are that he asked for a 50/50 split, but one thing i do know is Marquez is PRACTICALLY BEGGING PAC TO FIGHT HIM.

Pac knows that ANYONE who fights him now would get a huge windfall money-wise. Why would he willingly give MILLIONS to someone who constantly insults him? Is marquez actually trying to jeopardize his fight with Pac?

Now i don't know the first thing about making a fight happen, but i'm quite positive that constantly insulting a man isn't a way to make him reward you with a multi-million dollar fight.

Its a pity though cuz i would definitely pay to see a Pac/Marq fight. Nonetheless, as in boxing, anything can happen and i'm STILL HOPING we'd see Pac face marquez sometime next year.
