I disagree with Dre and he is one of my current favorite fighters. Go on the road and fight other guys in their respective hometowns. Everyone has done it, except him. He wins wherever he fights any guy in this tourney, IMO. Now, its time to prove that Dre.

If he's worried about being labeled as boring he should have fought bika from the outside, not all that tying up and holding. Bika is gonna make the fight a showcase fight for you if you box him. Holding and wrestling ain't gonna do it.

Ward is a badass and a bomafide draw, but I don't know if he's as smartca fighter as everyone is trying to get me to believe he is. His style isn't anywhere near as fluid and unpredictable as it seemed to be before the super six. Abe will be an easy fight for him, the finals will not, I look forward to road warrior v froch and winner v ward in a big way.
I agree with you Walt. I thought he would have had an easier time with Bika, had he just boxed him from the outside. I mean, he can do it. He's versatile in that regard and I want to see him do more of that.

If it comes down to Ward/Froch, it will be interesting. No chance in hell Froch agrees to fight in Wards back yard, considering he feels like he's already had one fight taken from him.

I wish he'd just leave Oakland and fight. I don't think it matters where the fights take place, I believe he's the clear cut favorite to beat Froch. And he's for damn sure not losing to AA.

Ward is one of the best if not the best young boxers in the game. I don't think Ward is a dirty fighter just a little to reckless sometimes and leads to clashes of heads. That may actually hurt him worse one day instead of his opponent so he does need to be more mindful of that.

Ward's fights have not even been that close for so many people to be crying about hometown favoritism. Ward is beating these people comfortably these fight are not fights that can go either way. Ward has been the clear winner. Also I agree he needs to fight somewhere else that helps build a fan base. But all hometown fighters get the benefit of being at home. Ricky Hatton got away with plenty of **** in his day just Abraham will get away with plenty of **** in Germany.

The truest statement that keeps repeating itself on these boards no matter who you are fan of is HATERS GONNA HATE. That is exactly what some of yall are doing and going to keep doing. Atleast it keeps some of yall employed so keep on hating!!!!

well, coming in head first complete with lowblows and elbows for 12 rounds with no warnings from the ref in your hometown, is dirty fighting with home court advantage in my book, and can take the opponent out of their game if he can't recipricate...

seems like the general consensus is son of bernard is a dirty fighter who feels the need to have home court advantage in his fights...he definitely went on the defensive when the question was asked about his fights being in oakland, its right here in black and white, so he must either read about his negative critiques, or is well informed...

if we live in an era where you can't express your distaste for a certain fighters tactics and business acumen without being tagged a "hater", then boxing will be as boring as sob's last fight...

but please man, nobody is "hating" on sob, more like, to the discerning critic, he just has to prove some things before making final judgment on him...

I get what you saying about the "hating" and we can agree to disagree. Cause when I spoke about people hating it wasn't meant for everyones comment. Some people in here are just hating and not being a discerning critic as you say.

Someone brought up a good point when they mentioned that it was ok for Ward to fight Kessler in Oakland when he wasnt very well known and considered a stepping stone for Kessler's welcome to America coming out party, now that Ward has shown that he's not a pushover everbody starts to whine.

Green and Bika were Ward's last two opponents, only hardcore boxing fans even know who they are so excatly where could they have held the bout and still had a profitable live gate?

No he isn't. Tunny posted the attendance in his last 3 fights this weekend and its all on the decline.

Only 5000k people showed up last weekend (according to Tunney) so he can barely draw in his own hometown.

The people in Oakland are smart for not falling for that garbage anymore. Soon he'll have no more excuses.
