Top Rank CEO Bob Arum makes it clear that a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley is not a done deal, at least not yet. Mosley is among the three candidates being considered for Pacquiao's next fight, which Arum is targeting for April 16 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The two candidates are WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto and WBO/WBA lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez.

He has a choice of three opponents and, naturally, he picks the weakest of the three. No one should be surprised by this. There were at least three opponents at 135 who were better than David Diaz. There are about five opponents between 140 and 154 who are better choices than Mosley. So naturally, he is going to choose Mosley.

However, there is good news for Paul Williams. Since he was knocked out by Sergio Martinez, all he has to do is win one comeback fight and he will be Pac's next opponent after Mosley.

I keep hearing fans on this site say Mosley is old and washed up, Why is that? because he got shutout by the best defensive fighter in the world, that happens to be considered number one or two pound for pound? and yet some of u people were cool to watch pac fight margarito but not the person who beat margarito first (Mosley) at 38 ?? Thats right Mosley was 38 when he fougt Margarito , u think he became old in his next fight? Styles make fights and Margarito had the easiest style for a slick aggressive boxer like shane , Floyd is a way different story because now its not a dumb fighter just coming forward its a smart fighter , which now u have to think about everything u do, I'm gonna tell u this Mosleys style will be very difficuly for Pac because he has never fought a slick boxer with defense and aggression , if u look at manny on 24/7 and u ever watch when he spars with slick fighters he dosen't do to well , he fought marquez twice and had major problems with him twice and marquez is just a good counter puncher that dosen't have the best defense , imagine a great counter puncher with great defense. One thing is for sure Mosley will expose pac win lose or draw. Its going to be a great fight i can't wait to see it!!!!!

Floyd won 11 rounds against Mosley. Pac loves fighters coming off losses or bogus wins - see Clottey, Marg (ass beaten by Mosley, nonsense win over a nobody), Oscar (steve forbes) and now Mosley.

a fight with marquez at 140 would be better than a fight with mosley at 147 IMO. but i wouldnt waste my time with that ****, fight mayweather or retire.
